In October 2022, Marine Families was invited by the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion in Tampa, FL, to take part in a planning meeting for the Toys for Tots campaign. What began as a single project quickly grew into something much greater—a meaningful partnership with both the active-duty Marines stationed at the base and the reservists who train there.

From the start, we jumped in with full hearts and hands, and the bonds forged during the campaign laid the foundation for what has become an ongoing relationship. Marine Families has since “adopted” these local Marines, committing to walk alongside them during their time in Tampa and beyond. By being present on base regularly, we’re able to interact personally, understand their needs, and provide direct support—or connect them with resources when needed.

Since then, we’ve shared countless memorable moments together.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to host events such as a Lunches, Car Shows, Eggstravaganza,  Trunk or Treat, homecomings, family days, and the unit’s Birthday Ball.

This is the perfect time to connect—or re-connect—with Marine Families. There are so many opportunities to volunteer, serve, and be part of this incredible journey. The Marines of the 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion are truly remarkable and deeply appreciative of the support they receive. It’s a privilege to walk alongside them, remind them how much they are valued, and show our gratitude for their service.
